We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer for a long-term contract role on a major port redevelopment project in Stanford-le-Hope.
Role overview:
- Setting out and surveying for civil engineering / infrastructure works
- QA checks, as-built records, and site documentation
- Supporting day-to-day site operations and subcontractor coordination
- Ensuring works are delivered to programme, specification, and H&S requirements
- Liaising with site management, design teams, and operatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on heavy civils, marine, or infrastructure projects
- Competent with setting out equipment and interpreting technical drawings
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS/SSSTS beneficial
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
Contract details:
- Long-term freelance engagement
- 12-hour shifts
- Competitive day rate (DOE)
- Immediate start preferred
